Credit servicing for non-performing loan portfolios in Finland and Sweden
CapFore manages bank-originated, unsecured consumer NPL portfolios on behalf of the institutions that own them. We handle the portfolio across the full recovery cycle: sourcing, due diligence, data migration, collection, legal enforcement and reporting. We do not invest in portfolios ourselves. Our institutional capital partners provide the capital and hold the position.
We operate in the following countries
Capfore serves its customers across the Nordic and Baltic countries. We will expand our operations into Central Europe during 2027.
What this means for the seller
A higher price for the same portfolio. A bid is capped by what the portfolio will cost to collect. Ours costs less, so more of the recovery value goes into the price instead of into servicing fees.
No conflict of interest. CapFore does not buy portfolios. We are not a competing bidder in a process we are also advising on.
Our own technology. Data analysis, portfolio transfer and collection all run on a platform CapFore built and owns. Automation handles the routine work at each step, which is what keeps the cost of servicing low.
One counterparty across the Nordics. Finnish and Swedish portfolios run through the same team and the same process, with Norway from early 2027. A seller operating in more than one market does not need a separate counterparty in each.
Regulated servicing. We operate under the EU Credit Servicers Directive, with documented complaint handling and a full audit trail on every account.
Borrower treatment. How a portfolio is collected reflects on the seller long after the sale. Conduct standards are part of the mandate.
Our servicing platform
Sourcing, pricing analysis, due diligence, data migration, collection, enforcement and reporting run on a single platform. The intellectual property is owned by CapFore and the system was built to our own specification.
Owned technology. The platform is ours, not a licensed third-party product.
Pricing and analytics. Long-term cash-flow modelling supports every valuation, and each serviced portfolio improves the model.
Data migration. Migration is continuous platform integration rather than a single handover at closing.
Reporting. Real-time reporting and a complete audit trail for every stakeholder.
Open positions
We are building the Swedish business. These are the roles we are hiring for right now.
About CapFore
CapFore covers the whole NPL cycle on unsecured consumer portfolios, using our own purpose-built platform and a common operating model adapted to local market and regulatory requirements.. That platform is the engine. It runs newly acquired portfolios for institutional investors, and existing back books for credit institutions and collection agencies looking to improve recovery performance and economics.
Sweden is already operational, with the first mandates secured and portfolios on the platform. We are now looking for a Country Manager to lead the next phase of our Swedish business.
The role
As Country Manager, Sweden, you own CapFore’s Swedish business. Commercial growth, operational performance and the P&L sit with you.
You work directly with banks, consumer lenders, fintechs and other credit institutions on servicing mandates, forward flow agreements and portfolio sales. You bring the local market perspective, seller relationships and commercial judgement to the evaluation of potential portfolios.
We are looking for someone who knows the industry well enough to challenge established practice and improve it through better use of technology, data and automation.
You are part of CapFore’s Nordic management team, and you report to top management, with real influence on the Swedish business and the wider group.
You will be employed by CapFore AB. Our Swedish office is in Gothenburg, where we expect you to spend around three days a week.
Key responsibilities
- Own the Swedish P&L
- Win new mandates and portfolio assignments from banks, lenders and fintechs
- Build and maintain senior relationships across the Swedish credit market
- Lead seller dialogue, commercial evaluation and due diligence on Swedish portfolios, together with our local operational team
- Deliver recovery performance and cost efficiency in line with the Nordic platform standard
- Ensure conduct standards, borrower outcomes and regulatory compliance under the Swedish credit servicer regime
Your background
We are looking for a commercially driven leader who knows the Swedish credit servicing and NPL market from the inside. Ideally you bring:
- Experience in credit servicing, debt purchasing, credit management or collections in Sweden
- Hands-on experience with NPL portfolios
- A commercial experience of working with banks and credit institutions
- Leadership experience and the appetite to build in an entrepreneurial environment where the role is broad and the organisation is still developing
- Commercial and financial judgement, including unit economics and portfolio cash flows
- Fluent Swedish and English
- Experience from a debt purchaser, a credit servicer or DCA, a bank, a consumer finance company or another credit-focused institution is directly relevant.
Why CapFore
CapFore started in Finland in 2024 and today operates across Finland and Sweden through a lean, founder-led organisation in Helsinki and Gothenburg, short decision paths and one technology platform. Norway and Poland are planned to launch in early 2027.
The Swedish business has a proven foundation, but much of its future is still there to be built. The Country Manager owns that next phase: shaping the organisation, building the commercial franchise and establishing CapFore’s long-term position in the Swedish market.

That platform is the engine. Sweden is already operational, with the first mandates secured and portfolios on the platform. As we continue to scale our Swedish business, we are now looking for an Operations Director to take responsibility for the day-to-day performance and continued development of our Swedish collection operations.
The role
As Operations Director, Sweden, you are responsible for the day-to-day performance and continued development of CapFore’s Swedish collection operations, with responsibility for the operational management and recovery performance of our NPL portfolios.
You work closely with the Country Manager, the Legal Counsel and our Nordic Operations and Technology teams to ensure that portfolios are managed efficiently, compliantly and with strong recovery performance.
This is a hands-on operational role, particularly during the build-up phase of our Swedish business. You will be directly involved in day-to-day collection work and case handling, which gives you a detailed understanding of the portfolios, the processes and the system. That involvement is an important part of identifying improvements and building an efficient, scalable Swedish operation. As the business grows, the role shifts towards operational leadership, performance management, process development and building the Swedish operations team.
You report to the Country Manager, Sweden, with a functional reporting line to CapFore’s Nordic Operations organisation.
You will be employed by CapFore AB. Our Swedish office is in Gothenburg, where we expect you to spend around three days a week.
Key responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day performance of CapFore’s Swedish collection operations
- Take part in day-to-day collection and case handling during the build-up phase
- Use that hands-on experience to identify and implement improvements in processes, system functionality and automation
- Own the operational management and recovery performance of Swedish NPL portfolios, translating portfolio business plans and investment assumptions into collection strategies and execution
- Drive recovery performance, productivity and cost efficiency across Swedish portfolios
- Develop and continuously improve collection strategies, workflows and borrower journeys
- Use data and portfolio performance to optimise treatment strategies, segmentation and channel selection
- Ensure effective handling of payment plans, settlements, disputes, legal referrals and other key collection processes
- Work closely with the Legal Counsel on legal collection, Kronofogden processes, disputed claims and regulatory requirements
- Ensure operational compliance with Swedish collection requirements, internal policies and agreed client mandates
- Manage operational implementation and onboarding of new NPL portfolios and servicing mandates
- Identify the root causes behind operational or recovery underperformance and implement corrective actions
- Work closely with Technology on system development, integrations and automation
- Build and develop the Swedish operational organisation as the business grows
- Support the Country Manager in client dialogue, portfolio reviews and operational reporting
Your background
We are looking for an experienced collection professional with a strong operational background and solid hands-on experience from debt collection. You understand the collection process in detail and know how to turn collection strategies into operational execution and recovery performance. More important than the size of the organisation you have managed before is your ability to take ownership, understand performance and develop a high-performing operation built on technology and data.
- Hands-on experience within debt collection, credit servicing or credit management
- Command of the full collection lifecycle, from amicable collection through legal collection and enforcement
- Experience in developing and executing collection and recovery strategies
- A working grasp of recovery performance, cash collections and operational KPIs
- Experience working with Kronofogden and Swedish legal collection processes
- Experience with NPL portfolios and purchased debt is an advantage
- Experience with segmentation, treatment strategies and data-driven collection
- Experience with technology, automation and process development is a strong advantage
- Leadership experience and the ability to build and develop a growing operational team
- A hands-on, pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
- A genuine interest in challenging established collection practices and developing better ways of working
- A willingness to work directly with collection cases during the build-up phase
- Fluent Swedish and English
- Experience from a debt purchaser, a credit servicer or DCA, a bank, a consumer finance company or another credit-focused institution is directly relevant

As we continue to scale our Swedish business, we are now looking for an Operations Director to take responsibility for the day-to-day performance and continued development of our Swedish collection operations.
The role
As Legal Counsel, you will have responsibility for legal matters relating to CapFore’s Swedish business and help ensure that our credit servicing, debt collection and NPL activities are conducted in accordance with Swedish legal and regulatory requirements.
This is a hands-on role. You will report functionally to CapFore’s Head of Legal and locally to the Country Manager. You will work closely with both to ensure strong legal governance and close alignment with the Swedish business. You will be directly involved to legal collection, disputed claims, court proceedings, regulatory matters, contracts and NPL transactions.
We are not looking for someone simply to maintain established legal processes. We are looking for someone who understands the legal framework, but also sees opportunities to improve how things are done – using technology, data and automation to develop smarter, more efficient and scalable collection and legal processes.
The role is well suited to an experienced legal professional who is ready to take broader responsibility and have real influence on how a growing Swedish business is built.
You will be employed by CapFore AB. Our Swedish office is in Gothenburg, where we expect you to spend around three days a week.
Key responsibilities
- Take responsibility for legal matters relating to CapFore’s Swedish operations
- Own and develop the Swedish legal framework for credit servicing, debt collection and NPL activities
- Owning local compliance and risk framework including data protection and AML matters
- Provide practical legal advice across the Swedish business
- Support and develop CapFore’s legal collection and recovery processes
- Provide legal expertise in matters involving Kronofogden, enforcement proceedings and Swedish courts
- Assess disputed claims and advise on appropriate legal action
- Support regulatory matters and dialogue with Finansinspektionen and other relevant authorities
- Translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical operational and system requirements
- Support NPL portfolio acquisitions, including legal due diligence, portfolio documentation and transaction structures
- Review and negotiate servicing agreements, portfolio purchase agreements and other commercial contracts
- Monitor relevant Swedish legislation, regulation and case law and support implementation within the organisation
- Manage and coordinate external legal counsel where required
Your background
We are looking for a qualified lawyer with relevant practical experience who is ready to take responsibility for legal matters in Sweden. You do not need to be a highly senior legal executive, more important is that you have the right experience, sound legal judgement, a pragmatic mindset and the ambition to take ownership and develop the function.
- A Swedish Master of laws degree or equivalent legal qualification
- Relevant professional experience within debt collection, credit servicing, debt purchasing, banking, consumer finance or another credit-focused environment
- Good knowledge of Swedish debt collection legislation and regulatory requirements
- Practical understanding of legal collection, Kronofogden and court proceedings
- Experience in handling disputed claims
- Experience with NPL portfolios, debt purchasing or credit servicing is highly relevant
- Ability and confidence to make independent legal assessments and take responsibility for legal matters in Sweden
- A commercial, pragmatic and solution-oriented approach to legal issues
- A proactive mindset and the ability to see possibilities and solutions rather than simply identifying legal constraints
- A genuine interest in challenging established collection practices and using technology, data and automation to develop better ways of working
- Fluent Swedish and English
Experience from a debt purchaser, credit servicer or DCA, bank, consumer finance company, law firm or another credit-focused institution is directly relevant.
